Connollys-Gaels will likely be the Intermediate decider. Connollys going very well this year but I fancy the Gaels to win it. Got off to a rocky start but have steadied themselves and looking strong. Ballymahon in serious bother after last nights loss.

Clonguish are going to walk the Minor again. They beat a combination of 4 clubs by 34 points in the first round and beat Killoe the other night by 11. Don't think anyone has ever won four in a row of Minor championships before. Remarkable.

Granard might take both Juvenile and U14 titles - won league in both.

Some achievement by clonguish but 4 clubs 3 them really but shook for numbers sight when ballymahon as town team struggling.

Clonguish will again fair play to them for keeping up.

Dromard out after their win tonight. They celebrated like they had just won the championship after the game.

What an evening of drama.

Fair play to each team in that group, every round compelling up the last kick.

Potentially an issue with the score from the Mull Carrick game so there may be more drama to this yet. Hence the statement re subject to referees's report.

It's a mess at the minute with who goes through. Typical officials again

Same as this year only one group will have 6 teams and the other will have 5.

All very messy but with all the games finished and two weeks until the qtr finals the mess will be sorted out. Simple bookeeping issue which can happen under pressure. There was plenty of players making mistakes under that pressure

Bye-laws have been on the county site for a good few weeks now (link), so not sure this was a mess caused by officials. Happy to criticise the county board when it's warranted, but this one might be on everyone else for jumping to conclusions and not reading or applying the rules properly.

If there was a phantom point in the Carrickedmond-Mullinalaghta game, it will be easy to verify on Clubber. If the ref's report doesn't match the evidence on Clubber then the county board will be required to take action. The days of a ref's report being final are numbered when the game is broadcast and in public domain for playback.

If Mullinalaghta are awarded the win, the group changes to:

Mullinalaghta
Abbeylara
Clonguish
Dromard
Carrickedmond
Slashers

That means the Quarter finals would be:

A) Killoe-Dromard
B) Mullinalaghta-Granard
C) Colmcille-Clonguish
D) Abbeylara-Rathcline

Semis would be A-D and B-C.

Lets see what clarity comes after the ref's report and any objection is reviewed this week. As someone else said, plenty of time to iron this out by the book before the quarter finals.

If the Carrickedmond Mullinalaghta result is changed to a defeat for carrick then yes Dromard should be in fourth place and it would change around the other placings too

I don't think anyone is disputing the league table as it stands at this point. The rules on qualification would have been communicated to all club secretaries prior to commencement of championship.
The confusion may have been with the supporters who were not clear on this new directive from Croke Park last year.

The confusion now is with the 'phantom point' in the Mullinaughta/Carrickedmond match.
If the referee sticks by his report, the only avenue to prolong the process is for Mullinaughta to lodge an objection if they find that there was a discrepancy in the scoreline.
Interestingly, Dromard who would benefit from the above scenario cannot lodge an objection as they were not party to the confusion.
If Mullinaughta lodges an objection, will Carrickedmond lodge a counter objection that the referee's report should be final. It wasn't their fault that the phantom point (if there is one) was recorded on the referee's report.
This could run on and one.
