No side has been able to retain the Roscommon Senior title since 2017 and has been 4 different winners in that time. The likes of Boyle,Roscommon Gaels,Glaveys if they ever get the chance to play in Connacht would be well able to hold their own against the best in Galway,Mayo. Leitrim Gaels were poor all around the park and totally out classed. Kinda shows where Leitrim football is at, fair play to Aughavas, first leitrim team to reach a Connacht club Final since elsin in 2010. Junior b football can be competitive and exciting, however this doesn't mean it's good quality. The Roscommon intermediate champions would give Leitrim Gaels a beating, if we're all being honest. For Leitrim's sake, one would hope that a side like Allen Gaels, who defeated every other team in the championship by roughly fifteen points, might at least offer a semblance of resistance to the Roscommon intermediate champions, who themselves only dispatch relegation contenders by eight or more. I believe, and I'm quite sure you would agree were it not for the green-and-gold tinted glasses, that any team reaching the last eight of the Roscommon intermediate championship would comfortably account for Allen Gaels. There's plenty of guff merchants on your own thread to keep you entertained, where you can tickle each others bellies and repeatedly tell yourselves how great Roscommon is at everything. I couldn't give two flying bats about how your championship is running, although I know it is a one team affair for the most part, this century anyway. 13 wins in 26 years tells the tale and the piper plays that particular tune. Actually Strokestown played Leitrim Gaels in a game before their respective Connacht club games and Leitrim Gaels won.
