Replying To The_analyser:  "My geography is fine thanks. Roscommon in Connacht. Derry in Ulster. Match in Breffni in Ulster.

I would much prefer a home tie than a trip to Clones. You always pop up on this thread when we are about to play Monaghan."
Minors playing in Cavan is fine. Ros teams have a decent record there. It's as long as a journey for Derry too. We can have no complaints. Good pitch, good venue. Best of luck to the players.
As for Monaghan away. Will be tough. Be interesting to see how many injuries Monaghan have since that game v Mayo. They've a lot of lads out anyway since the start of the year. Best of luck to our lads. Will be a tough challenge. Hopefully we'll pull through. We can't be doing the annual crash out again. We need to stand up and be navigating our way to the last eight. That's the challenge. Thanks to all.

Replying To Ros2013:  "Vetern still licking his wounds from Brigids walking over Scottstown. Look we've no business going into the next round unless we beat Monaghan by 7 points. They've a load of injuries and can't seem to get a break. This never say die attitude and last twenty mins of do or die football can't carry you every game. If mayo had any bit of cuteness or
Defensive awareness they'd have won that match by 8plus. They've won't fear us one bit but we have to go out and get the job done this time. Otherwise we're nearly men for another year."
Forgot he was on here for Scotstown v Brigids also.

I wouldn't dismiss Monaghan as you are doing. Armagh many people's favourites to win that All-Ireland needed extra time to get past Monaghan let's not forget.

I'll be more than happy with a one point win like Mayo or extra time win like Armagh. I wouldn't fall for any injuries excuse, Tyrone was doing that and their replacements was their stand out players. Anything less that a competitive battle in Clones will be surprise IMO and I for one won't be giving round 3 a single thought until and If we can win this game.

Replying To Towny10:  "Not the worst draw to get, would have been nice to get a home game but if you can't beat the likes of Monaghan with no disrespect you're not going any further in this competition. I looked at the draw for 2a and it's kind of gone as well as it could have. I would think Armagh.Donegal and Galway will win. So if we win the next game there's a great chance to get to QF.
Up the Ross"
No disrespect to you as I see this comment posted lots of times with various match up. "if can't beat × you're not going any further in this competition

That's fairly obvious as if you can't win you will be out and can't go any further.

Monaghan away is a real banana skin for Roscommon and more so than Cork in Portlaoise was last year or Cork away in 2023. Any complacency against Monaghan will spell trouble.

On the Minor All-Ireland quarter-final Roscommon was certainly due a Connacht or Leinster venue against Ulster opposition. I don't get where the idea comes from that it always going to be in Breffni Park? If as they did chose Ulster then brewster Park or Ballyshannon was surely more central location.

Replying To hontherossie:  "Yes another sticky draw, where we are favourites again. If we haven't sorted our the spine of our defence, we have no place going any further in the championship."
What team doesn't have issues down the spine of the defence?

Shooting efficiency and making the least amount of enforced errors is key under these current rules.

Tyrone v Galway U17 quarter final set for a Meath venue so I can certainly understand the complaints.
