Interesting see players want a even shorter season in contrast to a lot of old timers fans and pundits nostalgic for the old September finish. For this to be possible probably would need go with smaller numbers in each division and put it up to 5 divisions. No group games in championship or even scrap provincials etc Interesting what gaa come up with if anything at all to try and keep the actual most important member(players) happy.
Replying To FullOfPorter: "Extremely hard to call. Part of me thinks Pearses are just building nicely. Had their two tough games with ET and then really went after Faithleachs. They have quality all over the pitch. Probably used as motivation that nearly everyone was tipping Brigids from early on. Under the old rules I'd have been thinking Brigids now have the advantage in the goalkeeping position but I don't think it matters as much with the new rules. If in doubt hoof it out and let your big men scrap for it. Meanwhile Brigids hit a high against the Gaels and as you say, coming through a dogged, not too pretty of a semi is a great way to get to a final. Brigids record in finals over the past twenty years is something else, I think I counted 12 wins out of 13 finals, the only defeat coming against Clann. That is an unreal return.
I fancy Pearses to pip it now as well but obviously won't be surprised if the result goes the other way."
As a Brigid's man through and through I think we will do the business on Sunday. Not much in it. I think last years game is a big motivation for our players when Pearses won after ET.
The lads have played well at times this year and as another poster said what better way to bring the best performance than in a final
Both teams have brilliant players and are very well coached. Have seen Talty and Mooney up close and they are excellent at what they do and I like how Mullelly carries himself.
It should be a good final and Whoever's deals with the occasion the best will come out on top. I hope and think it will be St Brigids

Group games in championship has already been scrapped for 2026 and replaced by a sigerson cup like format.
