Replying To ComainRos: "Best of luck to the lads on Saturday. I see the team is named. I'd imagine there'll be changes to the starting 15. Seems strange to have James Fitzpatrick and Declan Kenny in the squad when I don't remember either player getting on the squad never mind game time during the league. I wonder is Diarmuid injured too? Be great to be able to bring Diarmuid, Neary and a few others on if we are still in the game with 20 -25 mins to go but it'd be a risky gamble to not start them, especially Diarmuid." Diarmuid not injured as far as I'm aware. I'd imagine there will be 2 changes to the starting team on the day as is the norm now. Diarmuid you imagine would come in along with maybe Neary or Cunnane. Very risky strategy but time will tell!
I do think Declan kenny is a terrific footballer, would liked to have seen him get more game time in the league and be pushing for championship now. I know he's young and will get plenty of game time in the years to come.

Do not have the inside track but surprised to see seven changes either by design or injury. OUT: Pearse Frost, Ruaidhri Fallon, Colm Neary, Shane Cunnane, Ultan Harney, Diarmuid Murtagh and Cian McKeon. IN: Senan Lambe, Ronan Daly, John McManus, Keith Doyle, Dylan Ruane, Conor Hand and Daire Cregg. The fact that 3 starters (R. Fallon, U.Harney, C. McKeon) and one substitute (D. Smith) do not even make the 26 would tend to indicate a couple of the changes may be due to injuries. The game has totally changed since the new rules were introduced and speed and stamina have now much greater significance rather than having teak tough defenders in the Niall Daly, Conor Hussey mold. The new game suits some players and maybe not some others. Is this one of the reasons why there has been so many changes? There is no point if having detailed trackers on peoples backs unless you take note of what the data is telling you as well as what you see with your own eyes. Interesting to see that Niall Moyna (Professor of Health and Human Performance at DCU) was in the Louth camp last weekend. No doubt his work has had an important impact. Best of luck to the team and management tomorrow and to all of the injured players. Safe travelling to all supporters.
"Come on the Rossies". We need a much improved performance!

we are one of the worst for conceeding two pointers. it clearly shows we have not adapted to the new game. if these players/mgt don't put up their performances for the remaining of the championship, another disappointing season will have passed by for a such a talented team.

Just looking at the team for Killarney and it looks like the deckchairs have been rearranged nicely. Wonder if there are any lifeboats on standby??

I think Moyna has been on Brennans ticket from the start. Great to have I'd say and shows the ambition of Louth getting him. Players need some engine in them now.
I'd love to see them give Kerry a rattle and try and get the year back on track. It's a team we owe one to as well!

When I rang my hotel a while ago they informed me that there is a half marathon in Killarney tomorrow ( morning?) which will result in the Muckross Road being CLOSED for a while. Several hotels and B&B's on this road. Not sure what time the race starts/ finishes at, but there is likely to be some backed-up traffic congestion in the town. Rossies making the long trip down might need to get on the road early to ensure that they get to the match on time. Pity it was not a later kick-off.
