Just a side note from the league and county team for a minute. Anybody know any more about the Salthill development story. I see them pushing it massively on social media. To be fair the "parish" doesn't come into it in Galway city really, no hard and fast borders compared to clubs in the countryside. The proposed location is very much on the edge of multiple clubs catchment but Michael's would probably feel the most aggrieved from a football club standpoint, a quicker drive to their pitch in westside than to the Prairie from it. Walsh was clearly injured in the armagh game, leave him off till championship when he will be most needed. Hard to see them coming away with anything. I Just don't think it's right that a club be allowed build a new facility 5 minutes away from a clubs pitch/clubhouse in that clubs playing catchment. Cappagh Park could surely be developed which is in knocnacarra.
