Replying To Galway2001:  "Walsh and Comer are not available"
Both featured in a recent A v B challenge game. Both sat out the New York game with their history of injuries and weren't going to be risked on that hard surface.

Replying To Kickitout:  "As it gets closer to match I think Joyce will revert to lads he always seems to play in championship for league he might play few new lads but when it comes to championship he always picks the usual players that's why I expect
Gleason. Be in goal
Silke will start has not being good in league
Mulkerrins Joyce likes him so he has a good chance
Conroy not played well this year but agsin Joyce likes him I know both silke and conroy were very good last season but I'm only going by what I've seen in league matches and I was at all of them I'm just hoping Joyce has learned ffrom last year and not play Kelly In midfield or forwards Daniel o flaherty was one galway best players in league bar v Kerry but I don't think Joyce will start him I would ,, as for the match don't think if be as easy as the bookies have it definitely won't be if Walsh not available,,

Wouldn't be in my 26 but presume ocurrain is out was on crutches in NY believe him and Heaney had collision in training.

I wonder if fit to play will Maher man mark enda smyth again like he did in 2023. He was mainly seen as a destroyer back then but since he has gone up many levels and is key player now.

I'm expecting a poor attendance Sunday, though am going myself. Easter Sunday will probably affect it, and I've been told by a few they'll wait for the Connacht final. Loose talk.
I think it'll be a tight match. Man on man I think them Roscommon forwards could make hay. We're back talking again about Comer and Walsh and wondering are they fit. They'll be needed Sunday, Walsh is probably the reason Galway weren't in a relegation fight in the league. If Walsh and Comer aren't played, or aren't fully fit but still play, I'd be worried about Galway's chances. I just wouldn't see where the scores would come from if Roscommon put up something like 2-16 (goals aplenty have been scored against Galway in the league).
Need a solid platform in midfield winning kickouts, and need to have a few more ideas in the forward line than the first half against New York. Hopefully a win of any kind.

If the team named can beat The Ross then Galway have a real chance in 2025 of getting to AI final.

I see Tomo in the subs, didn't feature in the league much, was he injured, involved elsewhere or is he out of favour or out of form? .. had great hopes for him

Hopefully Walsh is back soon. Costello Cooke names as I predicted on bench extended panel.

Heaney I presume is injured too from incident with ocurrain in training

We don't have a right footed free taker will have to be conroy or mcdaid

I'd not be surprised to see hernon or DOF in for Darcy or Maher if not fit enough and hold back one of big boys for last half hour.

Don't think a player can move up from standby unless one of the 26 gets legit injured or sick

Hoping Galway can beat Rossies on Sunday. But is there an air of over confidence in the camp. P.Joyce needs to get a grip, or Galway will exit the championship.

I guess I got it wrong about Mulkerrins starting i thought he would as he a fav of Joyce's ,, id expect Cooke to move into the 26 match day squad and if he does I'd expect he be brought on at some point,, it be interesting to see how Galway get on without there best forward Walsh prob a lot less 2 pointers scored ,,

Walsh was clearly injured when he went off against Dublin in mid March. This game was probably too soon for him and will likely be back for the Connacht Final should Galway reach it.

A surprise to see Cooke on the stand by when Joyce more or less said he wouldn't be seen until the All Ireland series group stage.

Can you give an ounce of evidence of this overconfidence or is it just what you think is happening in the camp which you have no clue of

Galway 3-14 Mayo 3-12

Last round of the minor round robin. A dead rubber as both teams meet in the semi-final on the May bank holiday weekend. Worryingly for Galway they had more or less their best team out while Mayo rested most of their first team. And Galway still barely beat them. Doesn't bode well for the semi-final but we'll see I suppose.

Galway storing up big problems at underage for the years ahead. Been a bleak few years at both U17 and U20.
