Replying To PressureKick:  "Walsh kicked a two pointer from outside the 45 in Croker v Meath last year from the deck, same position as Rian O Neill kicked his equalizer v Galway in 22. Absolutely savage kick that was passed over amidst an average performance elsewhere

Seems like Tierney is a hard no on taking any anymore, assuming on medical advice.

For 45's at least, they should have a set move and play them all short. You wouldn't take a shot in open play from that position for 1 point, so without a good free taker it makes no sense to take a pot shot from the ground for 1 point. The two point options are different and leaves Galway at a significant disadvantage compared to most D1 teams"
I was at the game but have totally forgotten that one.
I don't remember him taking too many off the deck since the 22 season. His accuracy off the ground was unreal in 22.

Who should be Galway`s no 1 and who should be on long range frees in your eyes? I would have Breathnach every day on a long range free over Gleeson

Walsh and Tierney both picked up serious enough injuries kicking frees from the ground. Tierney was out for about 6 weeks one time after he pulled something kicking from the ground. Neither of them have done it much since.
