Plenty of talent in Galway but it's not being developed properly.Thats where it needs to start.No player is fully rounded at minor or even under 20. This is not just a Galway problem, it's nationwide. I don't know how to change this either. I remember in the early 00s when relegation/promotion to Senior/Intermediate/Junior was based on league results. League games were really competitive back then, and all the county players played them. As commitment levels increased for county players they started to drop out. They could try to balance it by having one team promoted/relegated via league and one team via championship. Given the results I see 3rd in this group will end up enivatably facing Donegal in prelim. I see we are 4/11 which seems very generous especially away. We need to man mark Glass even if Maher has to sacrifice his game. Lachlan Murray not involved and he's always done well v Galway and Cassidy is also a top footballer that's needs managing. What's going on with Claregalway? Up and down in the league….Tuam result looked very good. I was in The Prairie on Saturday evening….they didn't even have 20 togged.
