Saturday Dancing like a star - Hammerstein Ballroom - 7pm. Sunday Pre match - bars in McLean Ave, Yonkers. New York vs Galway - Gaelic Park - 3pm Post match reception - Jake's Saloon - 9pm * (Sources Galway supporters club NYC and Galway GAA) When is the Caherlistrane gig on? I didn't here anything about GBFM in Jake's saloon. Most people will be doing their own thing, just going to the match but there is plenty of Galway events on. Apparently issues this week with the availibility of Gaelic Park. Its reported that Donald Trump wants to reclaim it as part of his plan to make America GREAT again! Match could be moved to Boston according to my sources over there.

Cooke is with the squad and will be in for the rest of the year. galway19 (Galway) - Posts: 847 - 02/04/2025 09:46:53 2600066 Link 0 |
Heard yesterday but assumed it was an April Fools. Will surely take him a while to get upto speed so wouldn't expect much from him too soon. But what a boost to spring from the bench. And if he can nail 45s he could be a starter in latter rounds. We need a consistent 45 taker.

Anything concrete from management confirming it. I only see Galway Beo mentioning it which I would take with a handful of salt

I wouldn't want to see Comer Walsh and possibly Conroy play on that pitch Sunday jm25 (Galway) - Posts: 1419 - 02/04/2025 13:24:41 2600106 Link 0 |
It certainly does, but at the same time, is he a better footballer than some we have on the panel currently? Does it strengthen our options by having him available? The answer to both of those is a definite yes, in my opinion. So I'm very glad to hear he's back with us.

Well he is a better shooter from play than 95 per cent of the current panel so that is a starting point.

When we played Galway a few weeks ago you were scoring points from everywhere and Conroy and others were missing.

Conroy and Walsh the only lads who could compete with Cooke for point kicking. Stick him on the arc in possession with Conroy and Tierney either side and with Comer inside, Walsh floating in between the 21 and 45.
