Why would you come on here with your first post and announce that. If management wanted that announcement made, we have heard it from an official source.

Replying To Mayonman:  "I think comments are harsh on Fitz. Con O'C has burned most.

Re Sean Kelly at midfield, I can't agree it is failed experiment. He obviously has not been physically right. The positional change may turn out to not be the right move but u can't judge until he is moving freely again.

I think the only selection question I have is who picks up Mchugh? Do we go like for like and put someone with the legs for him or do we target him with someone of a physical nature? i.e D'arcy (but u would need a scramble plan when he takes off because D'arcy won't catch him)

Can't wait for Sunday. Hopefully a great day out.

Gaillimh abú"
Not sure how u think Kelly at midfield has not failed actually most games he was wing forward centre forward not sure If he actually finished any game I know we can talk about injury but if he was fully fit woukd anyone think he a midfielder or half forward he a defender snd a good one at that

Ah yes, RTÉ...known far and wide for the quick and decisive discission making with the interest of the viewers always at heart.

You know we don't have to run every post past Padraic or Scan before posting, right?

I agree with you. I suggest that the previous poster was intimating that we should keep tight lipped about our injury situation lest Donegal become aware. But to be honest I dont think that a) Jimmy McGuiness will be monitoring this forum to gain info and b) as much as Cian Hernon would be a loss to our match day squad , I doubt that Donegal would be making any different plans based on his presence or absence.

Minor, U 21 and first half of senior career so far as a forward and I agree a good one, converted to a defender as there wasn't any suitable defenders to fill the role. He was sent out on one leg last year to help shore up the defence and is still paying the price for such a crazy decision as is the team.

I think Donegal are going to have much better sources than a few lads on Hoganstand in fairness

Replying To nails:  "Some good news this morning, Lee Keegan picked Donegal to win by a point. A great footballer but boy does he dislike every other Connaught team having any success. Maybe if he didn't have to carry that large chip on his shoulder around he would have won an All Ireland."
It's clear after years of trying to win the All-Ireland and having to retire without winning it with Mayo Keegan won't be too happy if Galway go on to win this years All-Ireland.

On the topic of prediction hopefully Tomás O Sé tips Donegal as he's normally the kiss of death to whoever he predicts.

Hernon was seen in a cast up to his elbow yesterday in what seems like a wrist injury

Same team named. Suprised if Sean Kelly actually starts.

Starting team unchanged from the Dublin game, Hernon not on the match day panel so the speculation above seems on the money. Hard to know if the likes of Sean Kelly and Shane Walsh will start on the day but PJ generally hasn't named dummy teams up to now…. Hopefully they're close to being 100% if not there already

Sorry but Lee Keegan is painful to listen to when other Connaght teams are playing. Not just Galway.I have always wanted Mayo to win when they were there. If it was a toss of a coin why not go for Galway??

Subs 18 to 23 on the Galway bench puts us in a good place I think.
