The eventual winners St. Thomas's only went through on penalties against An Spidéal, who were missing a number of players on the day. Skehana-M/M were competitive in Intermediate and are improving underage. We'll have good competitive championships in Intermediate and Junior next year and we'll see how teams evolve over time."
Ballinasloe were a match for Clubs 2nd team in Junior A, St Thomas 2nd team only got through on penalties! I would see the Premier Junior Competition as a gateway for a struggling traditional Club to get silverware and possibly All Ireland title! Maybe getting relegated from Intermediate wouldn't be bad....get a handy Premier Junior Co title, crack at an All Ireland and go back up Intermediate hungry for more success.

I'm sure they did attend, you'd expect they would have as it was possible to attend both games but with all due respect, there's seeing a game live, once, and there's being able to watch it back numerous times on repeat which is a totally different animal. I'm not patronising you when I suggest you'll agree you'd pick up a lot from repeat viewing of any recent game with a view to studying your future opponents.
This is no criticism of Meelick/Eyrecourt in the slightest, it was out of their control, it could have been them streamed not us in the SF and of course it might have not mattered anyway. But equally it might have. If it gave them an advantage and they used it then good luck to them. I'd have expected Kinvara to do exactly the same in the circumstances.
The point is not that 'teams (might) start blaming losses on opposition watching videos of them playing', the point is 'why was only one side able to access a full stream of their opposition's semi final'
Rest assured that if it was senior it wouldn't happen without comment so why should it happen at intermediate?
As I suggested the best solution is surely to double header the IHC semi finals and stream both of them if the venue/resources is/are an issue. I was very disappointed not to be able to see the M/E v Ballygar game as from the radio it sounded like a belter of a game with a dramatic finish.

You're right next year it will be a doubleheader and naturally it'll be steamed. I'm aware opposition attend games even in group stages and record games. Aware of one club who have the iPad behind goals on the keepers puc outs. Fair going. This is now the detail at club level

Meelick/Eyrecourt and kinvara have met the past 2 years im sure they know exactly what to expect from kinvara as to watching the kinvara beagh match. Very sore loser type of comments and things you are bringing up. Clutching at straws to say the least. M/E hit the post, lost 3 lads with injuries in the last 10 mins v kinvara last year, one guy breaking his leg and i dont recall one Eyrecourt poster coming on and complaining. M/E bet kinvara all over the pitch and the scoreline doesnt tell the story of the match. Move on!
