Is that Jack's son Eanna that's named on the panel? I'm not too good with the Irish names.

No he's not Jack's son at all, Jack's son Eanna scored the winning goal in injury time for Coláiste Ná Sceilige in the 09 Hogan Cup final against Edenderry and I think played Kerry minor as well. Éanna that was playing last night is from An Gaeltacht, I fine footballer very strong and a great ball carrier and kicker. KingdomBoy1 (Kerry) - Posts: 14092 - 13/01/2022 13:02:39 2394735 Link 1 |
Ya it wasn't nesesary really, now maybe the lads wanted to go (I'm not sure) but it they didn't play the full match anyway and they weren't under any pressure.

We will hopefully never hear the words "player welfare" from this manager and his backroom team and this includes the physio/doctor. Absolute lunacy putting these 2 players on the field after playing a senior colleges game yesterday. It looks like the conveyor belt of talent must have stopped in Kerry or else JOC just wants to have a McGrath Cup title on his CV, bonkers!!

There is no Kerry player called Joe Connors, there is a Kerry player called Joseph O'connor though.

Not trying to be smart, but didn't Kieran Molloy from Corrofin play in a Sigurson semifinal and was rushed up the road to play a club semifinal a couple of years ago. It happens, it probably shouldnt but I wouldnt panic about it. There is no gun being placed to anyones heads. KingdomBoy1 (Kerry) - Posts: 14092 - 13/01/2022 15:47:12 2394779 Link 1 |
Molloy played a Sigerson final.and All Ireland Semi. They wereboth very important games, that shouldn't have been scheduled for the same day FoolsGold (Cavan) - Posts: 2872 - 13/01/2022 16:16:10 2394792 Link 1 |
You are dead right but you are comparing apples with oranges. Ye were playing Tipperary and were winning by a huge margin when the lads were told to warm up!!

It was the other way around. He played the club semi-final first and when that was done, made his way to play whatever he could in the Sigerson final. If the Sigerson was first that day, he wouldn't have played it, as the club was most important. Both games in fairness were a bit different to playing in a McGrath Cup hammering. Want point hashrag fools gold, does the importance of the game really matter if we're talking about player welfare? KingdomBoy1 (Kerry) - Posts: 14092 - 13/01/2022 18:05:55 2394806 Link 1 |
What's having Shaw starting based on? He's not on the panel anyway.

And I can't see Okunbar being a starter come championship, Id say if Moran decides to give it another year then he'll get the nod.

Congratulations to St Finbarrs in winning today's Munster senior club football championship, the better team by far and I'd like to wish them well in the allireland series. KingdomBoy1 (Kerry) - Posts: 14092 - 16/01/2022 16:21:02 2395167 Link 1 |
