What a game!! Well done to Down there is no way you'd have expected that from them. That will give them belief going in to the final although I would expect Tyrone to overrun them. There won't be too many fancying Monaghan in the qualifiers. Their year is far from over and you could easily see them in the quarter finals. Great win for Down, fully deserved. They move the ball very skillfully and are a joy to watch at times, real connoisseurs of football. Monaghan looked rattled at times and lost their focus. Down absolutely deserved that. No question. Their inexperience almost cost them but they got over the line. Monaghan completely and utterly underestimated them, you can say what you like about their "character" and will to fight back but they are not good enough mentally. Longford last year, Bottling a big lead against the Dubs to get to a league final, Underestimated Down in a very winnable game today, Like Mayo, very very good group of players, but its their mentality thatll stop them achieving their ultimate goal of winning an all Ireland.
