Tyrone captain Brian Kennedy has described Sunday’s clash against Dublin in Omagh as a must-win game for the hosts.
Malachy O’Rourke’s side sit sixth place in the Division 1 table ahead of this weekend’s final round of games in the Allianz Football League, holding an eight-point advantage on score difference against Armagh who they are level on points with.
With the All-Ireland champions facing already relegated Derry in their last game, a win over the Dubs is very much a must for Tyrone this weekend going by what Kennedy told RTE Sport an Allianz Football League media briefing in Dundalk this week.
"Two points is definitely a must on Sunday. That's probably the only result that will keep us safe," the Red Hands’ skipper said.
"We can just do our job then see what way the cards fall after that but it's going to be no small task against Dublin.
"They're motoring well and we'll need to be on top of our game to get a result there. The Dublin crowd bring a deadly atmosphere and you always lift your game when you're playing against them too.
"They've been the standard-bearers this past ten years. We're really looking forward to it and looking forward to the challenge."
