Derek McGrath is remaining on as manager of Limerick senior hurling champions Doon.
The former Waterford boss steered the east Limerick club to a first SHC title in 2024 after edging out Na Piarsaigh in the final. He has now agreed to a second year at the helm and will once again be assisted by Tom Murphy, Dinny Moloney and Paul Keane.
Doon have a wealth of talent at their disposal, including Darragh O'Donovan, Adam English, Barry Murphy, Pat Ryan and Richie English, who recently announced his inter-county retirement. McGrath managed Waterford for five years from 2013 and ’18, and was subsequently involved with the Laois minors and Dublin U20s before taking the Doon reins.
