Kevin Walsh is set to remain on as Cork football coach for a third season.

The former Galway and Sligo manager linked up with John Cleary’s backroom team in November 2022 and, according to The Echo, has committed to another year with the Rebels. There is one new addition to the management which sees Jim O’Donoghue come on board as a selector / coach. The former Cork and St Finbarr’s player managed the Cork U15 footballers this year.

2024 produced a mixed bag of results for the Rebels whose season was ended by a last-gasp All-Ireland SFC preliminary quarter-final defeat to Louth in Inniskeen.
