Doon maintained their 100% record in the Limerick SHC with a dramatic victory over Na Piarsaigh in Kilmallock on Friday evening.

Adam English scored twice in injury-time to give the championship favourites a 1-15 to 0-17 win, which was their third of the campaign. The county star’s late brace came after a James Finn point looked to have won it for Na Piarsaigh.

Derek McGrath’s charges led by 1-8 to 0-5 at the break thanks to a Donal Coughlan shot which beat Shane Dowling in the Na Piarsaigh goal. But the city side rallied after the restart with seven unanswered points in an 11-minute period, only to be denied at the death.

In Friday night’s other game at Newcastle West, Kildimo-Pallaskenry got themselves back into the Group 2 reckoning with a comeback win over Dromin-Athlacca. Kildimo-Pallaskenry’s 0-20 to 1-14 victory was their second of the campaign, while it was Dromin-Athlacca’s first loss since securing promotion last year.

Meanwhile, Cian Lynch and Aaron Gillane bagged between 1-10 between them as Patrickswell powered to a 2-28 to 1-12 victory over Mungret in Claughaun last evening. Patrick Kirby top-scored with 1-6 from play to help the ‘Well to their first win of the campaign.
