Micheál Donoghue is set to reappointed as Galway hurling manager for a four-year term.
The 2017 All-Ireland SHC winning manager's return to the Galway hotseat was widely expected after he stepped down as Dublin boss after two years earlier this month. His name will go before next Monday's county board meeting for ratification.
The Clarinbridge man left the Galway post in 2019, but is now back on board as Henry Shefflin's replacement. Francis Forde and Noel Larkin, who previously assisted Donoghue in Galway and Dublin, are expected to be part of his backroom team once again.
