John Kiely is expected to remain in charge of the Limerick hurlers in 2025.

The Galbally man's tenure officially ended with the Treaty County's All-Ireland SHC semi-final defeat to Cork, which also ended their bid for an unprecedented five-in-a-row of All-Irelands. However, he has attended a number of club championship games in the county since then and is expected to extend his reign.

His reappointment could be rubberstamped at the next county board meeting on September 10.

Under Kiely, who has taken a career break from his deputy principal duties at Abbey School in Tipperary town, Limerick have won five All-Irelands, a six in-a-row of Munster titles as well as three Allianz League titles.
