Tipperary minor hurling manager James Woodlock’s post-match interview was cut short by his players amid jubilant scenes on Monday night.
The former All-Ireland winning midfielder was speaking to the media after Tipp’s 2-17 to 0-16 Munster MHC final victory over All-Ireland champions Clare at the TUS Gaelic Grounds when he was mobbed by the players.
As the inaugural winners of the John Doyle Cup, the Premier qualify directly for the All-Ireland semi-finals, while Clare will get another chance at the quarter-final stage.
