Dublin midfielder Brian Fenton looks set to miss his side’s Leinster SFC quarter-final date with Meath on Sunday after failing in his appeal against the red card he picked up the Allianz FL final against Derry.
The Raheny man was sent off in the late stages of extra time after an incident with opponents Eunan Mulholland as the Dubs went down in a penalty shoot-out to the Ulster champions (3-1) at Croke Park.
His appeal against the one-match to the Central Hearings Committee (CHC) was unsuccessful and, should he look to take it further, his next avenue to try and get it overturned would be the Central Appeals Committee (CAC).

He had sought a hearing after red card v Derry. But CHC found ‘infraction proven’.
As it stands he misses the Leinster quarter-final with Meath on Sunday. He can still go to the CAC or even DRA should he chose to do so.
