Con O’Callaghan struck for 3-4 as Dublin saw off old rivals Kerry by 3-18 to 1-14 at Croke Park to record the second win in their Allianz Football League campaign.
The Dubs’ full-forward had the ball in the Kingdom’s net after just five minutes at headquarters and repeated the trick from the penalty spot on 13 minutes.
The majors helped send the All-Ireland champions in with a 2-11 to 0-8 interval lead and, after the change of ends, Kerry responded with points via Sean O’Shea and a Joe O’Connor goal.
The Munster champions would get their arrears down to three midway through the half, but O’Callaghan tucked away a superb third goal (see it below) to ensure the win which moves the capital men up to joint second in the league table with three rounds remaining.
