Air Dome to host Connacht pre-season competitions

The University of Galway Connacht GAA Air Dome will once again host all of the Connacht FBD Football League and Connacht Hurling League fixtures in 2024.

London’s involvement means there will be two quarter-finals in the Connacht FBD Football League which will be played on the first weekend of January. The Exiles face Mayo on Friday, January 5, with Sligo taking on Roscommon in the other quarter-final on Sunday, January 7.

Galway and Leitrim face off in the first semi-final on Friday, January 12, with the quarter-final winners meeting on Saturday, January 13. The final will be played on the weekend of January 19-21.

In the Connacht Hurling League, three preliminary round games will take place on New Year’s Day. New York meet Leitrim at 3pm, Roscommon face Sligo at 5pm and Mayo and Longford clash at 7pm.

The Cup and Shield finals are scheduled for Saturday, January 6 at 5pm and 7pm respectively.
