This brilliantly taken goal from Cathal Mannion saw Galway hit the front a quarter of an hour into this evening’s All-Ireland SHC semi-final against Limerick.

After Aaron Gillane struck an early goal for the holders, the Tribesmen got level and an excellent feed from Kevin Cooney sent Mannion through and the midfielder made no mistake from the acute angle.

Henry Shefflin’s men stretched the lead out to six before the Munster champions clawed it back to only trail by one (1-13 to 1-12) at the end of fantastic opening half.
