Tipperary football manager David Power may receive a boost to his attacking options sooner than expected with the news that vice-captain Steven O’Brien could return from injury in two weeks.
The Premier men have had a luckless run with injuries so far this season, losing All-Star attacker Conor Sweeney to a cruciate ligament rupture before Ballina’s O’Brien suffered a hamstring injury in the defeat to Cavan almost a month ago.
It was initially thought that O’Brien would miss the rest of Tipp’s Division 3 campaign as a result but, according to a report from TippFM Sport, he may return to action for the Round 6 clash against Offaly in Thurles on Saturday fortnight.
Fellow attacker Mikey O’Shea could also be available this Sunday against Fermanagh should he recover from his own hamstring issue in time.
