Dublin ladies star Nicole Owens is set for another lengthy stint on the sidelines after recently undergoing knee surgery.
Owens posted an image from the hospital on her Instagram account on Thursday and, in a Trinity College Dublin Alumni interview on Tuesday, she said:
“I’m actually getting my ACL reconstruction done tomorrow so I’ll have off-time for about nine months. I’ll look forward to getting back on the pitch next year.”
Having suffered knee ligament injury in 2019, the All-Star forward returned to help Dublin to Brendan Martin Cup success in 2020 and her club St Sylvester’s to an All-Ireland triumph earlier this year.
