Former St Peter's Dunboyne GAA underage star Josh Keeley has completed a move to Premier League soccer club Tottenham Hotspur.

The 6ft 6" Republic of Ireland under-19 goalkeeper is set to join Spurs from St Patrick’s Athletic this summer, having had trials with a number of other Premier League clubs.

Keeley, whose older brother Conor lines out for Irish League side Ballymena Utd, played gaelic football throughout his childhood years before choosing to pursue a career in professional soccer.

Meanwhile, another ex-St Peter's Dunboyne player, Darragh Lenihan, has swapped Blackburn Rovers for Middlesborough after signing a four-year contract with Boro.

The 28-year-old, who had spent eight years at Rovers, is a brother of Meath senior footballer Donal Lenihan.
