Shane McEntee will miss the rest of Meath's 2022 campaign as he will shortly depart for his first tour of duty with the Irish Defence Forces.
The Royal County captain and son of manager Andy played his last game for club St Peter's, Dunboyne last Saturday before his deployment to war-torn Mali. The Lieutenant will be a major loss to the Royals who are battling for their Allianz League Division 2 survival with three rounds to go.
TweetBest wishes to our club senior footballer and Meath senior football captain Shane McEntee who played his last game today before leaving for a peacekeeping tour of duty in Mali with the Irish Defence Forces 🇮🇪
