Kerry GAA has officially opened its new €8 million GAA Centre of Excellence.
Located in Currans in the county of the Kingdom, the state-of-the-art facility has been two decades in the making.
It contains four full-sized sand-based floodlit pitches as well as a large state-of-the-art gym, video analysis room, eight dressing rooms, dining area and offices and meeting rooms.
Speaking to RTE Sport, Kerry county board chairman Tim Murphy described it as “one of the best facilities in the country”.
"It’s important that we have the best facilities to provide for our players, for our management teams, to give them the best opportunities to perform so this is a dream come true I suppose for so many people who have been involved for so many years, and we’re delighted to be able to officially open it today,” he said.
"It’s a big statement for Kerry to be able to say that we have what I like to think is one of the best facilities in the country."
