Former Westmeath hurling boss Joe Quaid has been appointed Kildare intermediate camogie manager.
The two-time All-Star previously managed Kildare’s senior hurlers, steering them to a Christy Ring Cup title in 2018, before taking the reins in the Lake County the following year.
He gained promotion with Westmeath before a surprise decision from the county board saw it opting not to renew its association with the Limerick native at the end of the 2019 campaign.
Quaid has been involved in a number of underage set-ups in Limerick and has also had success with a number of camogie teams in the Treaty County.
Former Offaly camogie boss Mike Wall, whom enjoyed All-Ireland success with the Kilkenny minors this year, is set to join Quaid in his backroom team.
