Kilkenny are Leinster senior hurling champions for a 73rd time after overcoming a depleted Dublin by 1-25 to 0-19 at Croke Park this evening.
A positive Covid-19 case in the Dublin camp led to the late withdrawals of four players - Cian O'Callaghan, Ronan Hayes, Fergal Whitely and Oisin O'Rorke - from their team, but they battled manfully to trail by 0-9 to 0-12 at half-time.
But in trademark fashion, the Cats pulled away in the closing stages with TJ Reid's late goal from a penalty putting the result beyond doubt.
TweetJake Malone sin-binned for foul on Alan Murphy and TJ Reid does the needful from the penalty spot. You imagine that is that and Kilkenny are on their way to 73rd Leinster title #RTEGAA
