Jack O’Connor was suitably impressed by Tony Brosnan’s scoring heroics against Waterford in the McGrath Cup last Sunday.
On what was a hugely successful weekend for the Kingdom which also saw Ballymacelligott and An Ghaeltacht pick up All-Ireland club titles at Croke Park, the Dr Crokes sharpshooter fired a staggering 1-15 as the All-Ireland champions routed their hapless opponents by 29 points to ease into Saturday’s final against Cork.
Brosnan was at his brilliant best in the first half when he kicked 0-12, including five two-pointers. His goal came two minutes after the restart.
“We’re trying out a lot of new fellas at the moment, but it was great to see Tony in the form he was,” the Kerry manager told Clubber TV.
“I think he kicked 1-15 so it was great to see that. We’re looking forward to a big year from Tony.”
