The Fitzgibbon Cup semi-finals have been confirmed following the conclusion of last night’s quarter-final clashes.
Next Thursday, February 16th, will see UCC taking on University of Galway in Tubber, Co Clare, while SETU Waterford welcome holders UL (7.30pm).
Darragh Flynn registered 0-14 for UCC as the 39-time champions saw off ATU Galway by 0-20 to 1-13 in Mardyke last night, while Galway star Evan Niland tallied a dozen points as University of Galway sent SETU Carlow packing with a 0-20 to 2-11 win in Dangan.
The night’s other clash saw UL remain on course for back-to-back titles as they thumped UCD with a 4-19 to 0-10 win in Limerick.
Waterford’s Michael Kiely netted a hat-trick of goals for the winners, while Gearoid O’Connor and James Power weighed in with 0-5 and 1-2, respectively, to helps cement the victory.
