The Derry half-forward line for today's Ulster MFC round 1 clash versus Armagh at the Athletic Grounds (throw-in 6pm) is composed of three members of the famous Downey family from Lavey.
Enda and Calum are both sons of Seamus, who was full-forward for Derry when they claimed their one and only All-Ireland senior football title in 1993, and Matthew is a son of Henry, the centre-back, who captained the Oak Leaf County to Sam Maguire Cup glory on that occasion.
Meanwhile, their club-mate and right half-back James McGurk, is a son of John McGurk, another link to Eamonn Coleman's history-making team from 26 years ago. McGurk Jnr lines out in the same position as his father did.
