You would imagine we will have enough to scrape by Clare. We always seem to come out by one or two points in Ennis. Definitely nothing easy in Ennis. Tight pitch and Clare make it very very compact. They frustrated us plenty down there in the league, (Although on another day, S Walsh might have had a few more scores if the ball stuck). We barley got out with the two points during the league. Confidence must be on the floor after the Dublin game. This could go all the way through extra time and penalties. Any draw was going to be tough for us after that Dublin defeat and Clare away is as tough as any, don't think for one second that Colm Collins and his men are rubbing their hands at the thought of Meath at home, really could go either way this match. It gives the Panel something to cling to , and something to aim for . far form a gimme....but when they get their heads together, they will realise it gives them a great road for some redemption. Now if they panel is totally fractured , and Management have left the building...then we will be beaten & beaten well...all depends on what has happened in the last week. Maybe so, definitely looked quite compact whenever I was down there, maybe its just the way the stands are in on top of it. But I don't have any research don't on dimensions so I wont disagree with you. The last couple of games with them we just scraped through. The qualifier in Portlaoise in 2019 we got out with a 1 point win & In the league this year it took an late winner to get us the 2 points also. Id just be hoping there's a response in the team and management to try and restore a little pride & do themselves some justice for the years work before its over. I'd say a couple of posters on here were pleading for mayo in castlebar, Tyrone in Omagh Monaghan in clones or Armagh at home too. I'd say some are sick. That been said I believe we will win. The only reason I know is RTÉ had a good article up lately about supposed "tight" and "wide open" pitches and how the name often has no connection to the reality if the actual pitch dimensions.
