So the County Leagues throw in this weekend. I wonder will any of the county panel be allowed to play with their teams given no county game until Sunday 13th! Some of the squad have had limited football and it might be of benefit to get a decent club game in! I doubt it though!

I would imagine they would. Jason Scully, James McEntee, Jack O'Connor, David McEntee, Keith Curtis and James O'Hare all played some part in the cup competitions so I'd imagine players with not much game time will be playing club this weekend

Anyone that hasn't started or gotten substantial game time will be released and allowed to play, they always are to be fair, after that it's down to each player if they want to tog or not.

That would be great - I think it would make the League more meaningful!

Can anyone explain why the Meath CCC cannot manage to schedule the entire league program (day/date/time) from the start to the finish of the leagues? The juvenille CCC can manage this. As it stands clubs get around 8-10 days notice of what day/time a league game is on. Not good enough for lads trying to organise work around games. Also it is being reported that they are going to have all football league games on Tuesdays going forward from round 4. It just beggers belief that they can keep changing things at a stroke of a pen mid season.

Hasn't been a problem in previous years. Can't see why it would be now.

Why are these games moved to tuesdays now?
Two days after hurling league games instead of 7 and puts lads under pressure to get out of work early.
What is the point of a fixture planner at all?

League tables here. For some reason Meath.GAA website doesn't have a drop down for the league tables but they are being updated when you look at results/fixtures page

On the results section of meath website, if you click on team/match it will bring you to table. , surely it would be possible to make it a bit more user friendly

Do the CCC think players have no lives or jobs at all? Fixing the next round of league games for the Tuesday evening after a Bank Holiday is a bit much. And also a starting time of 7:15pm?

What is going on with the club league fixtures at the moment? It appears the goalposts keep moving week to week. Games moving to Tuesdays with a quarter past seven throw in time is a bit of a joke, especially after a Bank Holiday weekend, where players can't now really enjoy themselves. There appears to be a big rush to get the league wrapped up early. Teams will be playing friendlies for the months of June and July.

Dual clubs getting a really short straw with this change of fixtures and a league tuesdays.
The hurling week is now gone , instead its hurling weeknd.
Players already getting injured , crazy stuff.
Its all football , anti hurling , anti dual player.
This is not a anti football post , gaa is gaa to me and i like both.

Nothing short of a farce.
I was at Kildalkey and Trim yesterday, tough physical game, and I could count at least 10 of those Trim lads that will be playing on Tuesday in the football league. County board need to put dual players welfare to the fore, but that would make too much sense!
