U'21 Hurling Championship

I feel Kildalkey upped there game massively for both finals, but I feel they had a rather poor year playing wise other than that, hammered by Kiltale drew with Longwood the first time, scraped by Ratoath and then Killyon/Dunboyne would have lost to most intermediate teams on the basis of this year.
Also lost league final and hammered in Leinster!

So they had better return the Jubilee Cup so that it can be shared by Kiltale, Ratoath and probably Trim and Longwood for the year. Cop yourself on, a final is 'on the day' and the team that performs the best win in 90% of cases. Oh yes Longwood were well off the pace in the semifinal so it's about timing the run so to speak. Also for the replay Kildalkey learned at lot from the draw and applied those lessons. And while you are saying that Kildalkey had a poor year their Intermediate team are by for the best second string in the county and their third string reached the J2 semifinal, so all Kildalkey hurlers were hurling while a lot of the others were looking on. As regards league and Leinster they were well under strength for those and would have been better prepared for Leinster but for the replay, as some players had to juggle other commitments, such as holidays, and to some that is a disappointment.

I am sure kildalkey are not one bit worried whether you think they had a poor year or not once the cup lies at home in their cupboard.tipp timed their run to win the all Ireland as well after being hammered by limerick .where is the liam McCarthy residing at the moment.the reason kildalkey won last year is that they just worked away throughout the year and concentrated on getting to the knockout stages.its only from there that championships are won.they have the shrewdest management on the line.you wont see those guys telling the world how good they are.best wishes to all teams next year.may the best team win not the one who thinks that they should be winning

Dont think kildalkey upped there game that much , it was more kiltale went off the boil so drastically.
They were so bad in both finals , in the group stages they were flying.
Kildalkey fans will course think they have improved but i think neutrals can see it.
Kiltale are the best team still on paper but played way under par , mayby they are finished ? only next year will tell.
Kildalkey wont care , the championship is all about winning and playing well on one day and fair play to them they deserve it.
Much like the 07 final , kiltale won , were they a better team than kilmessan ? no chance , but for that 60 mins they were

And a lot of people said the Kildalkey were the better team in 2017. So we can go tit got tat on that subject.
