Don/Ash new hurling manager is not meath player mickey Burke. He is micheal Burke a Cork man who used to be with Wolfe tones in 09 up to 14/15. They definitely have hurlers if they all would play. Mark Lynch in fairness to him did everything he could and by the looks of it the club where very fond of him. I heard he was a very good manager and his training session where excellent. Believe he was the least expensive in last few years. The talk of the town this is. Housing and health system are a long way down in the gossip stakes. The one thing is whatever sticky points there were could they not of been renegotiated? Which way was the meeting ended is important too. Did management decide to leave or were they relieved of duties?Because this shows who was not prepared to give a little in terms of negotiation.Players are not united on this. That is a problem.

What way it ended is irrelevant, Davy gave his conditions that were non neogtiable for the upcoming year, the club couldn't accept them as they were deemed unreasonable and both parties parted way. The executive, management and players all know what happened and outside of that its nobody elses business to be quite honest. Hams like icland and others on this who have only set up new accounts in order to stir the pot are the issue. And I can assure you that while one or two players have different views on this, as a whole they are fully united and committed to retaining the Keegan next year.

But you would defend a manager who holds a club to ransom and divides a dressing room with a childish request based on a personal feud?

Ahhhhh, that's a bit of an anti climax

Typical sort of nonsense you'd associate with a club like Ratoath. No one is surprised. A pure town team. Also their performance in Leinster was a disgrace to Meath football Anmhi364 (Meath) - Posts: 65 - 30/12/2019 18:00:05 2256543 Link 3 |
Having spoken to numerous players, the only thing that has divided the changing room, is the interference from outside it. The ones I feel most sorry for, are those with family connections to the power brokers, who have orchestrated the management teams removal, and all because, the daddy's weren't happy with game time. They will reap what they have sown!!! Upforyourball (Meath) - Posts: 37 - 30/12/2019 23:55:51 2256593 Link 2 |
Manager took a personal feud and brought it inside the dressing room! Silly stuff on the part of manager and club - they're both at fault. Players are the only victims here - not the manager.

I think it is all paid members business to be honest. And the club would be as well to let members know as that will put a stop to a lot of speculation, most of which is false and personally damaging to some.

I believe Ratoath's club motto is "Our Club-Your Club". Time for club members to take action/ownership on this issue.

Ah I see the bitters are back :) At the end of the day and year, we're the best team in the county. Ratoath Royal (Meath) - Posts: 1374 - 31/12/2019 15:40:11 2256646 Link 18 |
That would be great thanks. The club would benefit greatly from having more than 21 "club members" at the next AGM don't you think?

Why can't you have this debate internally? Why do you need to inflict it on the rest of us?

There seems to be a certain group in ratoath who only appear when they are in a big final (and then start explaining about the success of the club over the years) and when a controversy like this happens. Throughout the year they are rarely seen and look to play little to no role in the running of the club but start crying about EGMs when a bit of a controversy happens.
