If it was as simple as leaving well enough alone then we would not be in this situation
The goal post were moved and not by the club

What about sitting down and having a face to face between all parties. Surely this cant make the situation any worse. Communication solved far bigger issues than this.

I don't even think people from Ashbourne care who it is, nevermind the people in this forum...

All they had to do was let him run the team without interferance. Any decent manager ratoath look at will want that and more.
By move the goalposts do you mean he wanted to stop something like having the team picked by the pub customers of the club.

You obviously don't know Davy well enough if you think anyone could influence the picking of his team

It's never nice to see any club air their dirty laundry in public. If the people hiding behind keyboards on here that are from ratoath and have an opinion, why don't you approach the people in charge with your opinions or talk face to face with representatives within the club, rather than just throwing them into this toxic pit without fear of being called out. This whole situation that has developed in ratoath is just behond stupid and if something similar happened with a pub team you would just laugh at it, never mind with a team/club that just swept all before them! A decent hard working group of people (players and management) are being disrespected hugely here and common sense and cop on should be applied and a line drawn for the sake of the players.

I would say they are a pub club who happened to be managed by a professional outfit for 1 year (actually 11.5 months). Great panel, great management a pity the committee members and their puppet masters are simple minded hams who will never get near being involved in a senior panel. Happy Christmas all other 17 senior clubs, the begrudgers in Ratoath have thrown the 2020 championship wide open.

Honestly cannot defend the club after getting rid of Davy. Well liked and respected manager that won our first SFC in his first season and they get rid of him. Absolute joke of a decision.

A good appointment for Don/Ash hurling. They have the numbers to be a lot better than they are and having someone like Mickey as coach will only help grow hurling in the club as he is a extremely honest and dedicated fella.

A crazy situation to be allowed developed. Do they have a new manager lined up or what? It is a very bad time of year to have to go searching for a management team. In terms of player talent it is a dream job for any coach to walk into, however I am not sure the politics behind the scenes would be worth it.

I feel for the genuine people in ratoath. Money talks. Davy went be short of offers or choices if he wants a job.

Don/Ash new hurling manager is not meath player mickey Burke. He is micheal Burke a Cork man who used to be with Wolfe tones in 09 up to 14/15. They definitely have hurlers if they all would play. Mark Lynch in fairness to him did everything he could and by the looks of it the club where very fond of him. I heard he was a very good manager and his training session where excellent.
Alot of teams looking for managers. I heard kilmessan and killyon where looking for rathmolyon manager young guy from westmeath. Mickey Cole is new na fianna manager.
