Anyone that thinks mcentee wil run the bench in this game is clueless.....itll be the same as every other game, strongest team and strongest subs ran in.....and so it should be. Mickey Burke.....gimme a break, i dont recall brayer getting a big send off, a man that deserved one

Replying To noluso:  "Totally agree ! This is the game of the championship for me ,even though it's a dead rubber for us. And I expect them to overrun us by 8-10 points . However to host the kings of football and their galaxy of stars in park T ,is a huge thing for us . I hope a good meath support turn up to create a bit of atmosphere as I doubt too many from Kerry will travel . I am not bothered by the result either way but want to see football played at its best and I hope our lads rise to the occasion ."
Ah here.

I didn't say it will happen i said i would like to see these players get a run. Mcentee doesnt change much to starting line ups but This game is a nothing game win or lose. We will be playing Kerry in the League in 5 or 6 months and that is something to play for. Agree about Bray our best forward in a long time but this wouldn't be a send off for Burke etc its just a run out in a pointless match.

Could we play our subs from start and keep it tight.finish with our best team more pace to use in final third.not put on all them but 2 to start b defenseive and open up in secind half.the legs would b fresher.use tomas reilly as centre forward twin towers with newman and tobin/dardis.have mcmahon conlan walsh to use secind half.use mcgovern in fullforward line play him as sweeper.just so we have more legs in final 15 mins.just a thought.

I can tell you I want to see Donal keoghan, Connor McGill Bryan menton, james Conlon, cillian O'Sullivan, Bryan McMahon. I couldn't give a flying f@@@ who is on the Kerry team. And neither should any real Meath supporters.
Hon the royal."
Hope you get there early as I hear you want to pad the goalposts ! Plenty of tickets available so far I am hearing . Won't be at capacity whatever that is .

I have only missed one meath championship game in 23 years , but foolishness I cannot abide . To suggest we start out with our weakest 15 against the possible all Ireland champions and then put on our stronger players as the game progresses is juvenile to say the least . My tactics are simple ... Play and start your strongest 15 ....
Presume you were just having a laugh though !

When you have a panel of players starting with jn your words our weakest team.thats not wot i said.lets see here we play for 50 55 mins of game then tire out bring on our subs and we lose im seen this happen over last few games obviously thats not the reason were been beaten so.your saying do the same thing again and get another 13 15 point beaten.am i missing something here.23 years goin ti meath games and your reason for winning game is start oir 15 and thats it.more specifics is needed my freind if you are going to call me a fool.

Let me be more specific . Why not try out your theory with your clubs U 8 or U 10 team and report back on your specific results to all here ? Will be very interesting to see if this unique approach yields winning results !
I am sure all subs will support this new thinking . Mae culpa if I called your idea foolish ,but as a mild mannered person it's the least I could come up with . Come to think of it ,why not also choose to play against the wind in the first half , play without a goalkeeper in the first quarter and then shock Kerry by putting in 2 keepers at half time .? They won't know what hit them (and neither will we . !! ) I have got my parents permission to post here ...have you ?

I think what border-royal (sorry if I'm wrong border royal)is asking is how do we stop lads tiring in the last ten mins or so?we are still right in it with 55-60 mins gone but fall away near the end.I think it's a combination of playing quality teams with vast experience. The dubs blow teams away the last ten mins like v us,v cork this year, teams put so much energy into curtailing them they make small errors (which you will get away mostly v teams outside top 6)but get punished by top teams Donegal ,Kerry ,Mayo, tryone etc.one way of counteracting that is to take your chances we blew a few goal chances v Donegal at crucial times, missed handy free's and chances v Dublin and Mayo again at crucial times can't afford to do that v top sides not only might it knock a forwards confidence but it affects the whole team's mentality plus gives the other team a lift. That been said its good we are creating chances it will come with time, a lot of young lads who are getting invaluable experience in prep for the future.I also think we could save legs by playing a few(not all)balls in early to a target man Walsh got some joy when we did it v Mayo or into space for conlon(rolling in front of him)a plan b sort of.if we take our chances like we got v Donegal and have something to hold on too going into the last ten or so maybe our legs and mental state would be fine and we wouldn't seem to tire as much.Again as I say (I'm no expert if I was I'd be in with Andy)but that's my two pence worth would love to hear other lads/lassies few's on it.hon the royal.

Thank you proudroyal you at least recognise what i meant.your right on the early(long ball) to if applied right can reap rewards.

You disagreed with the multiple split personalities one and get 7 red thumbs. Wear it as a badge of honor, if I don't get at least 7 I'm doing something wrong. At least you know they have to log in and out multiple times to keep red thumbing, so in the end you the one who is winning. Keep her going.
