Clan na Gael and Ballivor are the two standout teams for me. One of them will win the thing out. Carnaross are p**s poor this year.

Would not rule out Ultans or Vincent's. Vincent's could take Clan na nGael in next round.

Agree and would add are 3 clubs that really should not be junior given their populations and catchment areas.

Add Vincent's to that list. They just beat Clann na nGael and were finalists last year remember. Play Ultans this weekend in Tailteann Cup final so should learn where each team is after that.

Good call on them beating Clann na Gael! It's true that they're going very under the radar. What has changed with them? Serious improvement over the years.

Their underage setup with Curraha seems to be doing well and producing alot of players. They appear to be very fit, organised and well coached with a good blend of youth and experience. While they have a talented young team, it maybe just a year or two too early for Clann na nGael. Would not rule out Summerhill either. They always have strong junior teams. Will be interesting to see how Ballivor v Ultans in last rounds pans out too.

It's on the Meath GAA page. Extract from the regulations for the Junior A FC:

"Preliminary Quarter Final Draw B3 v C3 (D)
Quarter Final Draw (1) A1 v D, (2) B1 v C2, (3) C1 v A3, (4) B2 v A2.
Semi Final 1 v 4, 2 v 3.
Junior Football Championship winners and Runners up shall 2019 shall be (if 1st teams) be
promoted to IFC for 2020. If this is not the case the permutations outlined in Regulation 4 (d)
2019 be followed
Relegation;
No 1st team shall be relegated from Junior Football Championship 2019.
All 2nd teams competing in JFC 2019 shall be regraded under rule 3.20(ii) to the New Premier
Club Championship for 2020.

All 2nd teams are being kicked out of the main competitions and being moved into new competitions called "Premier" championships. The name makes as little sense as the concept.

From 2020 on we'll have Senior, Intermediate and Junior for 1st teams, and Premier, Premier B, Premier C etc. for 2nd, 3rd, 4th teams.

Bizarrely, while we're removing 2nd teams from the championships with 1st teams, we're adding them to the league with 1st teams??

Don't think ballivor are good enough there to depending on there full forward line who need a dry ball and a lot of space, sultan's are a better balanced team

Athboy are probably favourites. I think Dunsany have a very good chance as Kilmessan are out of the hurling now. Wouldn't rule out Ballivor yet.

How are you rating Athboy as favourites when Vincents beat them in the latest round?

Agree. Would put all other teams mentioned ahead of Clann na nGael at the moment unless their main players Griffin and the Swaine's are all fit and playing. Even Moylagh are very experienced and Summerhill 2nd team always strong and hard beaten.

Agree vincents are good well coached team but they seem to implode when pressure is put on them discipline lets them down.but up there for the jnr championship.need bit luck as all do.its a wide open championship team gwt on a bit of a run anything can happen.few good games in it this wkd.moylagh moynalty should b a dinger.clan cortown could go either way.balivor ultans another one not much between them.

Moylagh Dunsany Kells Summerhill on 1 side of the draw. Vincents Athboy Ballivor and Ultans on other side, will make for great quarter finals. 5 week break for most teams now isnt ideal. Vincents should beat Senchalstown in preliminary game in 3 weeks time.

Why is there a 5 week break.
