You would have said Carnaross a couple of weeks ago but two losses leaves them in a tough spot. Ballivor probably favourites but also Dunsany and Vincent's will be close. Carnaross had a man sent off early in the second half. For a team joint top of the Division 2 table, beating St Colmcilles (Cilles must've had their Junior D team out that day) they were rubbish yesterday. No midfield, full back was cleaned out. A few handy forwards. Moynalty could be the surprise package. They've a young team with up to four ex Meath minors from the previous three years and a few players that played with the county junior team in recent years.

I wouldn't agree with the "new Dunsany" tag. Dunsany would surely have won a JFC if all their local resources were poured into football; no such issues in Carnaross and they are the championship favourites based on being a competitive Div 2 team. I can't help but feel having seen both their opening c'ship games that playing Ballivor with a full deck and finishing the Moynalty game with 15 players they wouldn't be propping up the group.

Are Carnaross missing players? They were 10 points down against Ballivor at one stage. They can have no excuses for that defeat.

I see Paul lynch scored 8 points for moynalty yesterday how could he play after getting a straight red card against clonard the last day

I believe they're missing a few from last year but they've been missing throughout the league also.

Shows you what a joke the county board is when a player could get a red card for a clear strike which was seen by the ref and his official linesman. And yet he got it turned over in six days with the help from there manager a former top ref and two club men on the ccc . Clear strike? Unsure what game you were watching. From my angle at the game he was sent off for a closed fisted tackle when a clonard man had the ball. You'd never see a red card for that, so harsh indeed. Moynalty worthy winners yesterday

Shows what a joke you are when it comes to knowing the rules. Suspensions are handed out for the competition in which the offence occurs therefore a player getting sent off in the league will get suspended for the league only and not championship. Same goes for reds in championship - they do not effect the league. It has been like that for years. I've no affiliation with Moynalty but seeing posters on here talking about a farce as a red card was rescinded when they haven't a clue is just laughable. That game specifically had extra supervising referees and linesmen. I lost count at how many times the ref had to consult with them. So we're saying even with all those refs and linesmen at the match, they made the wrong decision? And that the board, who were not at the match, decided the card cold be rescinded? It's a joke, really is. It's who you know.

Erm, the red card was in a championship match. The suspended player then played in the next championship match.
