Andy was a school teacher who hailed from Donegal and worked in many counties around Ireland. He was a very useful Gaelic footballer and became heavily involved in GAA affairs in localities where his job saw him reside. On retiring, Andy lived in Kiltale from 1985 until 1998 and left a large impression on Kiltale H.C. He managed the Kiltale minor team and was involved in coaching and developing underage teams within the club.
