It was with great sadness that we learned of the death of our great friend and supporter after a long illness Breda Barry. Breda's husband Joe and sons, Sean and Kevin, wore the green and gold of her beloved club Castletown on many occasions. She was an regular attendee at our AGMS and fundraising events until her illness prohibited her from doing so. She was a wonderful supporter of Castletown GFC and her rousing cry of "Come on Castletown" would be heard from the sidelines of many a pitch in the county. Over the years she would have looked after the Castletown lads who attended college in Dubin before Joe would load up the car to bring them down to training in Castletown. Testimony to her popularity was the amount of people from Castletown who attended her wake in Dublin. I know the family appreciated this gesture from us all. Ar dheis De go raibh a Ainm.
