Cork attacker Chris Og Jones says its important for the Rebels to remain grounded ahead of their Round 2A clash in the All-Ireland senior football championship.

John Cleary’s men came from eight points behind to defeat Meath by 0-30 to 1-24 at Pairc Ui Rinn last Saturday evening – a result which sees them now preparing to face another Round 1 winner in a couple of weeks’ time.

“The important thing is not to get ahead of yourself,” Jones told EchoLive.ie. “You’ve another game to play and that’s it. There’s no quarter-final, no preliminary quarter-final. 

"All it is is another game against what is going to be a really top-class team — that could be Donegal away.

“So it’s training Tuesday or Wednesday night, tip away, and go into that game with an All-Ireland final-type attitude.”
