A motion to extend the GAA inter-county season by two weeks has been withdrawn at Saturday's GAA Congress at Croke Park.
Motion 14, which proposed moving the All-Ireland senior football championship final to second Sunday in August, was withdrawn from the voting process at GAA headquarters.
Elsewhere, the proposal for extra-time in provincial football finals (Motion 13) was passed, earning 73.5% of the vote, 26.5% voting against it.
The successful motion also means that provincial football finals will now go to a replay if a winner cannot be determined at the end of extra time.
A total of 25 motions will go before the floor at Congress this weekend.
