The finals of the U16 Gerry Reilly Tournament take place in Oldcastle this weekend with 2 exciting finals to look forward too.
Louth and Meath will compete in the Gerry Reilly Cup final after impressive wins over Kildare and Cavan in the semi-finals. Louth were really impressive in their 0-19 to 0-7 win over the holders Kildare and will have a number of U17 players on show who represented Louth in the Leinster Minor Final earlier in the year.
Meath were equally as impressive in their semi-final win with a 4-19 to 0-11 win against Cavan and with both teams coming into final in good form it promises to be a great game of football between both counties. Louth are managed by Paul Crewe while Meath are led by former Meath Footballer Trevor Giles.
The Gerry Reilly Shield Final will take place on the Saturday in Millbrook with Cavan and Kildare taking to the field in again what promises to be a great game.
Oldcastle GFC host the Gerry Reilly Tournament annually at their Millbrook pitch, in memory of the late Gerry Reilly, a promising footballer who tragically died all too young.
