Delight for Evan Nolan and Mark Leavy after Dunderry's win over Kilmessan in the SHC at Pairc Tailteann

Round 3 of the Intermediate and Senior hurling championship begins tonight along with round 2 of the Junior. The six senior games take place on Saturday and Sunday across three venues, Pairc Tailteann, Lomans Park and Batterstown.

Holders Ratoath take on Longwood while last years finalists Trim play last years IHC winners O’Mahony’s at Meath HQ. Killyon will be looking to build on their round 2 win over Dunderry when they entertain Na Fianna at the Trim venue.

In the Intermediate favourites Dunboyne take on Wolfe Tones in Boardsmill.

Dunderry provided the first shock of the Senior Hurling Championship with a one point win over Kilmessan at Pairc Tailteann. Nicky Horan’s men fought back to level the game in injury time but a point from Mark Leavy gave them their first win of the campaign. Kildalkey trailed Blackhall Gaels by one at the break but fought back to record a comfortable win. Trim move into pole position in Group B with win number 3. Three late points was enough for Donaghmore Ashbourne to get back on track in the IHC. Favourites Dunboyne make it 3 from 3.

It finished all square between Boardsmill and St. Pats in the Intermediate at Kilmessan. Four games in the junior championship. Killyon find the O'Mahony's net six times. A second win for Ratoath. A big win for Kiltale who have scored 6-38 in their opening two rounds.

Thursday

Five games in round 2 of the Junior B Hurling Championship with another big win for Rathmolyon. The Village have hit 7-39 in the opening two rounds. Na Fianna bounced back from to opening round defeat and record a big win over Kilskyre Moylagh at Baconstown.
