Moynalvey N.S. 3-8 Boardsmill N.S 1-5
Eleven Meath Cumann na mBunscol hurling and camogie titles were up for grabs on Friday and Saturday at Lomans Park Trim.
Moynalvey retained the Cumann na mBunscol Division 3 hurling title with this nine point win over Boardsmill. Joint captains James Hanifin and James Byrne accounted for all their teams scores.
A Byrne goal and a Hanifin brace gave the team in Maroon early control. Boardsmill, thanks to fine scores from Paudie Reilly (2), Tadgh Gibney and Tadgh Dempsey (2) were only two in arrears with six minutes to go to the break but Hanifin got in for a goal and Moynalvey led 2-5 to 0-5 at the short whistle. The dynamic duo hit 1-4 in the second half to secure another Division 3 title for their school.
